The second annual Beer Belly 5K is here! This 5K race benefits Meals on Wheels of Manatee. Whether you are running, supporting a runner, or just want to watch the race, you can attend this event at 9 a.m. this Saturday, March 24. Same day registration is available Saturday morning starting at 7:30 a.m., but shirt sizes aren't guaranteed after the pre-registration. The Beer Belly 5K will have local craft beers throughout the course, as well as local food vendors, prizes and giveaways. Plus, every participant receives a race bag filled with goodies and coupons, a premium race t-shirt, and a medal with a beer bottle opener on the back!

Ed's Tavern is open on Saturday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Our lunch menu will definitely hit the spot, so reward yourself with a delicious burger and some beer. The Blackened Chicken Sandwich, with sautéed peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese, can hit the spot. If that doesn't make your mouth water, considering trying the Pulled Pork Sandwich, with house smoked pork, shredded cheeses and Ed's homemade BBQ sauce.
